How to spend Holidays?

Holidays have arrived. Yes, the ones which you were waiting for months. But just like other times, this time too you are purely clueless about how to spend your holidays. What to do on free days? People who have fantastic plans on their minds, Go ahead! For those who have nothing to do, you don’t need to freak out. Here I am to provide you with an action course of plan (something which I myself don’t believe in). I have a gut feeling that it won’t be useful to any of you. But still…..

It is the same twenty-four hours of a day, complaining which people say that we don’t have any time but in holidays these 24 hours seem to be killing. To cut down time, one must not wake up before 9 or 10 in the morning. This would help in three ways: one you will be able to feel the joy of sleeping till late in the morning and two you’ll have less time at hand to spend (or I should say kill) and three you’ll get the habit of your mom chiding you for sleeping for so long (Alright, agreed! Third one is not helping in any way).

After waking up, one must walk and do all the daily morning chores at a real slow pace. This would consume an hour or so. Then you may volunteer to help your mom in the cleaning of the house. Of course she will be annoyed at the delay of cleaning of the house as you woke up late but then she’ll give it up to you. Cleaning the things (switch boards, doors, windows, setting your cupboard etc), which failed to catch your attention during the busy days because you thought that they are totally clean, can be a good job.

Or Buy a handful of novels. Not feeling like spending money on buying? Go for e-books. It’ll increase your vocabulary and if not anything else, then your imagining power will improve. You’ll feel like that suddenly your friend circle has grown which now includes fictitious characters of these novels (It got little exaggerated, No?)  And if nothing else then you’ll get to know that it is not necessary that the bestselling books are always good.

But then you can’t spend the whole of your day cleaning or reading. Get to know yourself and try to list down your hobbies. If you are already aware of them, thumbs up! Then try to pursue them. Be it Guitar playing, painting, watching TV all day, writing, sports, travelling, meeting new people or anything else.

Note: Surfing internet all the day does not count as a hobby.

Did I tell you that if you wake up late in the morning then you won’t be able to sleep early in the night? This will give you plenty of time to think of anything in the dark while lying on the bed. Who knows what creative idea may come to your mind. (After all, most of the creative things take birth in trying-to-sleep-time)

And if you can’t list down anything then catch the person sitting next to you and engage them in a conversation. Don’t be upset if the person turns out to be someone whom you don’t like. Try to know them - about their childhood, their dreams or their philosophies. If still the person turns out to be not worth it, then pack your bags and knock on the door of your relatives. Trust me, annoying and disturbing them is fun.
