Comic or Day-dreamer?

I know I'm in a big, big illusion. And I'm dead sure that 90% of you would be completely taken aback if I tell you that sometimes I feel that I'm very funny. That I'm my own little version of a comedian.
I often plan a sequence of events in my mind that may happen in future and how I'll ha
ve a witty remark to counter the situation, which leads to a smile on my face. *Hopefully, they don't sound funny in only my mind.*

But one thing that I'm fully aware of is that I can't be funny with all the people or in all the situations or at all times. I have so many criteria that should be in place to provide for my comic side to come out.

For instance, people should be open-minded and not judgemental, they should be light-hearted and not take things seriously (but they should respect me and not make fun of me, otherwise they are out of my circle), they should match my IQ level (for there are some who can't understand my one-liners sometimes) and of course, my mind has to be in a state to rapidly pop out fun statements which make me look like a humorous person.

On the other hand, on watching a stand-up comedian taking queries from people (Just in case you want to redirect to what I'm referring to) I realised it's not really a joke that's funny, instead what matters is one who says it and the way (s)he says it.

Of late, we can find comedians talking more sense than so-called intellectuals, who fail to project reality as really as possibl
e. Comedians are not just putting out husband-wife jokes to make you laugh. But they are making you see the grave situations of the modern-day world/nation through the medium of comedy. They dare to address the dangerous truths in between the echoing laughter.
Pity their voices are being made meek, day by day. It takes a hell load of strong headedness to keep performing your art. Imagine the pressure of being humourous amidst all the pressure to not to be.

This quality content is making us spoilt. We are being taught the freedom of speech, to be open-minded which is in total contradiction to what we encounter in our general lives, where we are shunned from airing the dissenting views and to not roam in certain domains. We, on one side, are on the path of being more tolerant and respectful towards the opinions of others, whereas others see it as their win upon us, thinking they have conquered us with their views, just because we let them speak out their mind patiently.

After a point of time, one starts finding it hard to relate to 'normal' people who don't have an open mind, who are not as good listeners or don't have a sense of humour. This makes me realise how difficult it is to be taken seriously and to make others laugh at the same time while still being relatable.

It is despairing to know that despite having comical expectations from myself, my blog posts tend to get boring when I write about boring philosophical and serious stuff. The inability to end up with a 'mics-drop' witty endnote is heartbreaking.
